Who am I ?

Hi, my name is Karlis Vilmanis, and I’ve been navigating the world of Amazon for around five years. It all started with a big idea—my friend and I wanted to create an Amazon agency, and we did! Together, we founded www.fullio.lv, where we helped several brands launch and grow on Amazon. Along the way, we experienced a lot of learning by doing—making some mistakes, but that’s part of the process. Every mistake taught us something valuable, and we grew from it.

One thing that became clear to me early on was that the best way to truly master Amazon is by building your own brand. That’s exactly what I did.

My First Product: The Kintsugi Kit

At that time, I stumbled upon a unique product—a Kintsugi kit. For those who don’t know, Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, turning something broken into something even more beautiful. Inspired by this, I created my very first product right here in Europe and launched it on Amazon USA.

To my surprise, it was a success! I couldn’t believe it at first, but the Kintsugi kit started selling well, and I found myself making six figures from it. If I wanted, I could have made one of those typical "How I Made 6 Figures on Amazon" YouTube videos, but in reality, the success was short-lived.

The Challenge: Competing with Chinese Sellers

As quickly as my success came, it was also challenged. The competitive nature of Amazon, especially when faced with Chinese sellers who undercut pricing and scaled aggressively, eventually burned me down. My once-profitable product was quickly overwhelmed by the market. While it was a tough experience, it was also an invaluable lesson.

Despite the challenges, this experience confirmed one thing for me: One day, I would build a lasting brand on Amazon. I knew the ups and downs of the platform, and with every setback, I gained more knowledge that I could apply in the future.

Continuing the Journey: Helping Clients and Building a New Brand

Over the past few years, I continued to help many clients launch their brands on Amazon through our agency. Each project gave me more insight into the intricacies of the platform. I also tried my hand at developing a few smaller products, though none reached the level of success I had hoped for.

But now, I’m taking everything I’ve learned and applying it to my new brand, which I’m currently building from the ground up. This time, I’m documenting the entire process—from product development to marketing strategy—on this webpage. My goal is to share the reality of building a brand on Amazon, not the sugar-coated “get rich quick” version that’s often seen.

The lessons I’ve learned over the years, combined with the determination to build something lasting, are driving this new venture forward. I’m excited to share the journey with you as I continue working on this brand and telling you all about the process, the wins, and even the setbacks.
